Super GT Scale Model Racing Cars

Super GT is the premier sports car racing championship in Japan. Originally launched in 1993 as the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC), the series was rebranded as Super GT in 2005. The championship is renowned for its unique two-class structure, GT500 and GT300, which race simultaneously on track, creating complex traffic management challenges and highly strategic racing.

Our Super GT collection covers both classes, with a strong focus on the highly developed GT500 machines from the "Big Three" Japanese manufacturers: Honda, Nissan, and Toyota. You will find scale replicas of iconic cars such as the Honda NSX-GT, the Nissan GT-R and Z, and the Toyota GR Supra. The models in this collection are produced primarily by EBBRO and Spark. Both manufacturers specialise in high-quality 1:43 scale replicas, with EBBRO predominately being made from diecast metal, and Spark in resin formats. All models are completely sealed units unless specified otherwise.

What scale are the Super GT models in this collection?

The vast majority of our Super GT models are produced in 1:43 scale. This is the standard scale for Super GT collectors, offering an excellent balance between intricate detail and display practicality.

A 1:43 scale model is typically 10 to 12 centimetres in length. The scale of each model is clearly listed in the product title and description.

Are these models made from resin or diecast metal?

The models in this collection, are constructed using diecast metal, or resin. EBBRO models will predominately be diecast manufactured and Spark through resin moulding.

Both brands are sealed body models, meaning the doors and engine covers do not open unless otherwise specified individually, which ensures the exterior aerodynamic profile remains perfectly accurate.

Do the models come with a display case?

Yes. All 1:43 scale EBBRO and Spark models are supplied on a presentation plinth and are enclosed within a clear acrylic display case, unless specified otherwise for preloved models.

This protects the model from dust and damage while on display. The base of the plinth typically features the car's details, including the driver, team, and race year.

What is the difference between GT500 and GT300 models?

The difference reflects the real-world racing classes.

GT500 models represent the premier class cars from Honda, Nissan, and Toyota, which feature extreme aerodynamic modifications and wider bodywork.

GT300 models represent the secondary class, which includes a mix of FIA GT3 cars and unique Japanese JAF-GT cars.

Both classes are produced to the same high standard of detail in 1:43 scale.

Can I pre-order Super GT models for the upcoming season?

Yes, we regularly list new Super GT models for pre-order as soon as they are announced by the manufacturers. Pre-ordering secures your model from our initial allocation.

We offer free mainland UK delivery on all orders over £25.

All in-stock orders placed before 12:30 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), are dispatched the same day.

We take packaging seriously, every order is shipped in a sturdy, rigid cardboard box to ensure your model and its display case arrive in pristine condition. We do not use jiffy bags. We also offer a 30-day returns policy.

About Super GT

Super GT, formerly known as the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC), is Japan's top-level sports car racing series. Established in 1993 by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF), the series was designed to prevent the spiralling costs and single-manufacturer dominance that had affected previous championships.

To achieve this, Super GT employs strict technical regulations and a unique "Success Weight" system, which adds ballast to cars based on their championship points, ensuring close competition throughout the season.

The championship features races across Japan's most famous circuits, including Fuji Speedway, Suzuka Circuit, and Mobility Resort Motegi, with race distances typically ranging from 300 to 450 kilometres.

The Classes: GT500 and GT300

The defining characteristic of Super GT is its two-class structure, with both classes competing on the track at the same time.

GT500: This is the premier class, featuring heavily modified, purpose-built racing cars that bear only a passing resemblance to their road-going counterparts. The class is exclusively contested by factory-supported teams from Honda, Nissan, and Toyota.

Current GT500 cars are powered by 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engines producing approximately 650 horsepower. The aerodynamic development in GT500 is among the most advanced in any closed-wheel racing series, resulting in cornering speeds that rival prototype sports cars.

GT300: The GT300 class offers a much wider variety of machinery, with both works-backed and independent teams competing.

The grid is a mix of FIA GT3 specification cars from European manufacturers (such as Mercedes-AMG, Audi, and Lamborghini) and unique JAF-GT specification cars developed specifically for the series (such as the Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86).

The performance of all cars in the GT300 class is balanced by the organisers to ensure close racing.

EBBRO has a long-standing association with Japanese motorsport and has historically been the primary producer of Super GT scale models. Their 1:43 scale range covers a vast array of JGTC and Super GT cars from the early 2000s through to recent seasons.

EBBRO models are highly regarded for their accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in replicating the complex aerodynamic surfaces of the GT500 cars.

Spark has increasingly expanded its coverage of Super GT in recent years, producing highly detailed 1:43 scale resin models of both GT500 and GT300 contenders.

Spark's resin casting process allows for exceptionally sharp detailing, ensuring that the intricate splitters, dive planes, and rear wings of the modern Super GT cars are perfectly replicated.
